Problems opening show with multi dashboards on 2nd iPad

I successfully restored my purchase of the subscription on my 2nd iPad but when I open a show I created on my first iPad which has a 2nd dashboard in it I don’t get that 2nd dashboard appearing. It seems perhaps only one dashboard is saved in a Show?

Hello,

Can you export the show on the working device and send it to me please ?

Yes I have the exported show. Where should I send it?

I quickly recreated another dashboard on the show in my 2nd iPad because I have a gig tonight and the dashboard just has a few buttons… But for the future it will of course matter to have the multiple dashboards export and import properly. Thx

I tried to import your file, and I have two Dashboards, the first and a second named Gobos, how do you transfert to second device, via phos file, or directly via Airdrop ?

I save as a phos file in iCloud. Then open that file from the 2nd iPad

What are the models impacted, with iOS version ?

Mine are iPadOS 15 (iPad Air 2) and iPadOS 26 (iPad Pro 11)

Edit: Please be sure to be on 2.6.1, on 2.6.0 there is an major issue with dashboard selector on iOS prior to 26

Both on iOS 26.3.1

1st iPad is 5th gen iPad Air. 2nd is a regular iPad but only 2 years old. I’ll have to check the iPad generation on that one but it’s pretty new.

Can you check Photon version too, cuz I am not able to reproduce.

@Cclleemm i sent u the file, can you test please too ?

Ok I updated photon on both iPads, re-exported and imported the file again in the 2nd iPad and it now works. So 2.6.1 seems to have solved it.

I am usually quite leery to update any software the same day of a gig without testing first. But anyway 2.6.1 did the trick. Thanks for the support.

Thanks for update. It is globally good advice to not upgrade before gig.

Update - mostly fine last night. I did have one app crash a few hours in but quickly restarted it. Thanks again.

Did you send crash when the app asks ?

No I rarely can do that because the crashes happen in the middle of a song while I am playing guitar, and my iPad is connected to my wireless router running the lights which has no internet connection. I only ever know it crashes when the lights stop responding to my footswitches.

In case this is helpful to anyone else - what I did some time ago was setup a Shortcut to open the Photon app. Then I have a midi footswitch that calls that shortcut. This way, any time I notice the lights stop responding I quickly hit that midi footswitch and it opens (or reopens) photon after a crash. It’s been a life saver for me so I stopped worrying about crashes in the middle of performances.

Interesting work around, thanks for sharing.
When Photon opens, the show is automaticaly selected ?

yes. As long as you were in live mode in the show of course.
