50+ years of pro performing experience with 40+ acts, primarily rock. Early adopter of tech in general, but late to the party with DMX lighting. In the 90’s I owned a MIDI capable Lightronics controller with conventional par lights and dimmer packs. At the time I used Cakewalk on a PC to run MIDI backing tracks and incorporated MIDI controlled lighting with my one-man-band act. Using the Lightronics board I recorded light show changes to Cakewalk in real time. Now all these years later I am wanting to do the same type of thing with DMX lights to use with my band, a duo and possibly again as a one-man-band.
