I’m looking to find out if the Chauvet DMX-AN2 will be compatible with the App?

the Chauvet DMX-AN2 will works with Photon. This is not the easiest hardware to configure but it will works because Photon and DMX-AN can use both Art-Net or sACN protocol.
How do i configure it to work?

Is there a general way you connect these receivers up as there isn’t much info on how to do them.

You plug the node to a RJ45 port of a wifi router and connect the ipad to the same network.
This device is strange because ArtNET works only in 2 subnet 2.x.x.x and 10.x.x.x.
By default the node is 2.0.0.1 manual ip, so you can put a manual ip to ipad to 2.0.0.2/255.255.255.0
after this configure the node with safari http://2.0.0.1 and reflect configuration (ArtNET/sACN and universe/subnet) into Photon app
Managed to get everything working okay after a lot of messing about
