DMX-Connection with my iPad

Hello everyone, I would like to control 8 light sources with DMX cables via my iPad. Maybe I’ll add 2 or 3 more lights, but nothing more. What hardware do I need to connect the lights to the iPad and then control them with the Photon app? Thanks in advance. Regards! Fabian

I use one of the above, Network cable from a Wifi Router and cable or DMX wifi from the output.
( BeamZ BBP W-DMX DMX Transmitter/Receiver - works very well as TX or RX for Wireless DMX)

iPad is connected to the wifi Router…
Works a treat…

This is my setup. Works very well and I have Photon2 running in the background behind OnSong, which sends MIDI messages to Photon2 to trigger different light shows at different parts of my various songs:

Thanks for this. I want to control a solo show with lights running automatically off Photon on an iPad synced to say Stagetraxx 3 for iPad. My question is - do I need an actual DMX controller with faders, etc and midi out, in order to set up and record the scenes, which I will then also use midi notes to trigger via photon 2 or not?

Or can I set all the scenes using photon 2 and then manually assign ie programme a midi note to trigger each one from Stagetraxx or whatever app and just use the e-dmx1 pro . So I don’t need to buy an actual DMX controller with faders? Or are they both options? Sorry am struggling to learn all this. Thanks

No you don’t need an actual dmx controller and can do it all in the app. I also use it with stage Traxx too.
