Photon 2 not sending any commands to lights

I have 12 Chauvet SlimPAR 56 lights. All are set to 7 channel with DMX address set to 1 on each light. I am using a CHAUVET DJ DMX-AN2 - DMX/Art-Net/sACN Interface. I am running Photon 2 app on an iPad.

The network interface has a good connection and when I start the Photon 2 app the DMX light turns blue indicating the interface is receiving a good connection from the DMX lights. I also know the interface is working properly, because the Photon original app controls the lights perfectly fine from the same iPad.

Photon 2 app is configured as Art-Net, Unicast, Subnet 0, and Universe 1. If I change the subnet or universe, the network interface light turns off, indicating there is no connection to the DMX lights. Furthermore, the Photon 2 app does NOT have a red message at the top of the app that says “Can’t connect to Art-Net node” (which tells me it is connected). So I have every reason to think the Photon 2 app is correctly setup and talking to the network interface.

Finally, I added a single Device in the app named “My slimpar 56” and set the device to start at channel 1.

With that , the app has no control over any of the lights. I select colors. Move the fader and strobe up and down. Nothing works.

To re-iterate, I downloaded the original Photon app on same iPad. It automatically detected the Art-net device (Chauvet interface). I added same device as in Photon 2. And I can immediately control all the lights.

Thoughts on what could be wrong with Photon 2?

Check the DMX-AN2 dmx port settings. Do you have the Universe set to 1 or 0? I had that issue a couple times before where my photon 2 universe setting differed from my dmx-an2 settings. I think the dmx-an2 defaults to 0 and you have photon 2 set to 1 you mentioned. Perhaps the old photon app also defaults to 0? Also are you using art-net or sACN?
