Earlier this year the comment was made that Photon would be seeing a needed update by the end of the year? Is that on track to happen? It has been a while?

I was just thinking about that. I have invested serious time into setting things up to work in Photon. But unlike many apps these days, which release small updates regularly - Photon world is really quiet. I worry how much life Photon has and whether or not a sudden end is near…
I agree. I have programmed over 300 songs via midi to use this program. Updates have been promised before and really not delivered. I don’t want to start over again but it may just be the right thing to do. If it is about money (it always is) I would be willing to pay a reasonable annual fee (not monthly) for guaranteed feature and performance updates. I don’t have much faith in the updates actually happening.

I understand the concern, as it’s been a long time since we’ve released a version. You should know that between the development of the MDM version for businesses and schools + agreement problems with Apple, we have slowed down development of the main version. For several months now, we’ve been releasing BETA versions of a major feature (multi-dashbords).
We haven’t forgotten you, and we thank you for using photon!

Yes, unfortunately my two money maker apps are Multitracker and Photon. Both are having issues with Apple, and both have frozen development. For full bands that want an Ableton 12 like playback for shows, this combo has been the best.
I hope both apps can get updated. I would pay again for them, no problem.

We’re still actively developing the app! I’m still rather disappointed that we have to waste our time on these aspects of compliance with the stores, but that’s the way it is…
The app is still evolving, and today we released a new beta.

Anyway I can get the beta version? I have multiple shows a week and the crashing is killing me …. Great app can’t wait for the official release !!!
Major new features are great, but what about fixing existing features that don’t work? Like fades? (Don’t work in Live setting) Crossfades. Improved MIDI management (i.e. MIDI channel selection).
