To assign a midi note to a button in live mode (MIDI input mapping) you have to play the note. It then says Mapped MIDI Key note C2 . Be useful if knowing the note that you could type in C2 .

I bought the paid version so I could trigger lights from our backing tracks, I was quite surprised to find out that you can’t just enter a midi note by number? You can only trigger it from an outside device? Crazy to me that you can’t just enter the note or the midi number.
Yes, I would prefer that too. Entering the MIDI command is often less cumbersome that having to play it.
