Any updates on when there will be a new update released? Seems like the app hasnt had a update in a while.

We will update the app before the end of the year. We are finishing a big upgrade with better stability and the possibility to create more than one dashboard.

Do you know a little bit more of a specific date? I really would like to use the new update this Christmas.

I’m a programmer too and I know that asking for a release date is annoying.
But we’re starting a new season now and I have to program our show next week.

So, do you have any news?
I’d like to use it more, but for efficient use I would need the function of multiple dashboards, at the moment I don’t have any more space :see_no_evil:.

Hello,
So here’s some news that’s slowing us down a bit in the release of this version, not sure we’ll be on time for Christmas:

  • we had to deal with a conflict with Apple, which withdrew the application from European stores because of the new DSA law. After numerous emails and a few phone calls, the matter was settled before yesterday
  • the iOS 18 update has created instability in the application, making it impossible to publish the new feature as it stands (even though it is complete).
  • we’re looking into a way of remunerating the addition of new features, currently free for over 3 years.

The version continues to evolve, but stability will remain a priority. (By the way, we’ll be taking your opinion on this).

Photon UPDATE near release?

Appreciate you taking the time necessary to ensure a stable release, no problem with that.

HOWEVER - Photon screwed me at a Corporate Christmas Party last night. Went to start the program and it said BETA EXPIRED and would not run. I understand beta’s expire, but some notice would have been helpful before I was at the gig…

So, I hooked to a hotspot and downloaded the Version from the Apple APP store. That version will not run on my iPad - no error message, nothing, it just starts and stops. I rebooted, no change, I unloaded the app and re-installed, no change. The program will not run, and I am screwed for my upcoming Holiday gigs.

Please immediately post another BETA to TestFlight so I can see if that will at least patch me through the holidays.

Hi,
Please note that the beta version is not necessarily stable and can have a major impact on your shows. It must be a test version, not a production version.
Moreover, as these versions add new functionalities, they are not necessarily retro-compatible.

We’ve taken development a step further, with a function that lets you move an item from one Dashboard to another. As the function isn’t finished, we hadn’t yet released a BETA version, but we can do so to get you unblocked, and you can tell us what’s not working.
We’ll be doing this mid-week. Is it ok for you ?

That would be great, many thanks! I was trying the Beta because the release version still bombs out several times after running for a while, like in a 3-4 hr show. I would usually just do a restart, but was trying Beta to see if it was better/more stable.

I don’t need the multi dashboard function so can’t provide much feedback for that new item.

New BETA release does indeed run on my iPad - thank you so very much! I was dead in the water. I also didn’t lose any data, so I am good for my Holiday gigs it seems. Thanks again.

Christmas has been over for nearly 3 months but still no news or any update.
Is the Photon team alive ?

Good evening! Any chance we could get a refresh on the Beta? It has expired again, and I have a show coming up in 2 weeks I could use it for. I can always load up the current release version, but I lose my custom fixtures when I do that so would like to avoid it.
